Seedance 2.5 price (November 2026)
Seedance 2.5 is billed per second of video. Sound is included. The table shows the rate and what common clip lengths cost. Each price is held from your prepaid credit when you submit and charged only if the clip is delivered.
| Resolution | Per second | 5 s | 10 s | 15 s | 30 s | With video input |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 480p | $0.09 | $0.45 | $0.90 | $1.35 | $2.70 | $0.06 |
| 720p | $0.21 | $1.05 | $2.10 | $3.15 | $6.30 | $0.15 |
| 1080p | $0.52 | $2.60 | $5.20 | $7.80 | $15.60 | $0.34 |
A job that takes a video as input (video to video, or reference clips) is billed at the lower video-input rate, and the input clip’s seconds are billed with the output: a 10 second 720p clip made from a 10 second video is billed as 20 seconds, $3.00. A first frame can cost a little more than the listed rate, so ask POST /v1/generations/quote for the exact price of a request; quotes are free.

Can you use Seedance 2.5 for free?
Not without limits. Every Seedance 2.5 API charges per second, and the “free” Seedance 2.5 sites give a few trial credits. What you can get for free on Revana:
- Signup credit. A new account gets free credit to try Seedance 2.5. It unlocks when you save a card; saving the card does not charge it.
- Failed generations are free. A job that fails costs nothing, so you never pay for a refusal or a timeout.
- Free quotes.
POST /v1/generations/quotetells you the exact price before you spend anything. - A free video model. Revana runs MiniMax H3 for free on its own GPUs, for drafts before you render the final take on Seedance 2.5 (it needs a first top-up of at least $10, which stays your credit). More in Can you use Seedance 2.5 for free?
The cheapest way to iterate is a 4 to 5 second 480p draft ($0.45 for 5 seconds), then the final at 720p or 1080p once the prompt works.

Text to video
Write the shot like a director: subject, action, camera, light, then the sound. Seedance 2.5 follows numbered shots inside one prompt, so a 15 to 30 second clip can hold several cuts.
{
"prompt": "Shot 1: wide aerial of a lighthouse at dawn. Shot 2: the keeper climbs the spiral stairs, handheld. Shot 3: the lamp turns on, lens flare. Waves, wind, a low cello.",
"duration": 20,
"resolution": "720p",
"audio": true
}Image to video (first frame)
Pass image_url and the clip starts on exactly that picture: a product shot, a character, a storyboard frame.
{
"prompt": "The sneaker rotates slowly as the studio light sweeps across it",
"image_url": "https://example.com/sneaker.jpg",
"duration": 6
}First and last frame
Add end_image_url and the clip moves from one picture to the other. Use the same image twice for a seamless loop.
{
"prompt": "Day turns to night over the city skyline, lights come on",
"image_url": "https://example.com/day.jpg",
"end_image_url": "https://example.com/night.jpg",
"duration": 8
}Reference to video
Up to 30 reference images (image_urls), 10 reference clips (video_urls) and 10 sounds (audio_urls) keep a character, a product, a style or a camera move the same across shots. Name them in the prompt by their order.
{
"prompt": "The woman in image 1 walks through the shop in image 2 holding the bottle from image 3, camera follows from behind",
"image_urls": [
"https://example.com/woman.jpg",
"https://example.com/shop.jpg",
"https://example.com/bottle.png"
],
"duration": 12,
"audio": true
}Video to video
Give a clip in video_urls and describe the change: restyle it, swap the setting, or extend the scene. Billed at the video-input rate, $0.15 a second at 720p, for the input and output seconds.
{
"prompt": "Same shot, but the street is covered in fresh snow at night",
"video_urls": [
"https://example.com/street.mp4"
],
"duration": 8

Seedance 2.5 FAQ
What is Seedance 2.5?
Seedance 2.5 is ByteDance's video generation model. It makes clips from 4 to 30 seconds with sound from a text prompt, a first frame, a first and last frame, up to 30 reference images, reference video and audio, or a video to edit, at 480p, 720p or 1080p.
Does Seedance 2.5 have an API?
Yes. On Revana you send POST https://api.revana.si/v1/generations with "model": "seedance-2.5" and one API key, then poll the generation until it succeeds. The same key works for Seedance 2.0, Veo 3.1, Kling and every other model in the catalogue.
How much does Seedance 2.5 cost?
On Revana, $0.09 per second at 480p, $0.21 at 720p and $0.52 at 1080p, sound included. A 5 second 720p clip is $1.05, a 10 second one $2.10 and a 30 second 1080p clip $15.60. With a video input the rate drops to $0.06, $0.15 and $0.34 a second, but the input clip's seconds are billed too.
Can I use Seedance 2.5 for free?
Not without limits anywhere: every Seedance 2.5 API charges per second. On Revana a new account gets free signup credit (it unlocks when you save a card, which is not charged), and failed generations are never charged. Revana also runs MiniMax H3 free per clip once an account has topped up at least $10.
Is Seedance 2.5 open source?
No. ByteDance has not released Seedance 2.5 weights. You use it through ByteDance’s own apps and API, or through an API such as Revana.
How long can a Seedance 2.5 video be?
Any whole number of seconds from 4 to 30 in one generation, set with the duration field. Seedance 2.0 stops at 15 seconds.
Does Seedance 2.5 make 1080p and 4K video?
It makes 480p, 720p and 1080p. For 4K, use Seedance 2.0, Veo 3.1 or Kling 3.0 through the same key.
Does Seedance 2.5 generate sound?
Yes: set audio to true for dialogue, effects and music generated with the picture. The price is the same with sound on or off.
Am I charged when a Seedance 2.5 generation fails?
No. The price is held when you submit and released if the job fails. Revana tries its other routes first and charges only the one that succeeds.
Can I use Seedance 2.5 from Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor?
Yes. Add the Revana MCP server (https://revana.si/api/mcp) and ask for a video: it quotes the price, makes the clip on your credits and gives you a download link.
